With most of the grid confirmed for the 2025 season we thought we would run through the teams and tell you the drivers who have seats and who don't.
Ferrari:
Charles Leclerc stays with the Italian team for a few more years
Brit Lewis Hamilton confirmed his move to Ferrari for the 2025 season onwards on the 1st of February 2024
McLaren:
For the past two years the line up with Oscar Piastri and Lando Norris stayed the same and it will continue to do so for 2025 and onwards
Aston Martin:
The duo won’t change after Lance Stroll resigned so for 2025 and onwards It will be Fernando Alonso and Lance Stroll that will race in the Aston Martin
Kick Sauber:
Nico Hulkenberg will join the team from 2025 onwards after announcing on the 26th of April his departure from haas at the end of this season and again as of now no other driver has been announced to drive alongside him
Williams:
Alex Albon. Who will stay with the team after signing a multi year contract extension, It was announced on the 29th of July that Carlos Sainz will drive for them after agreeing to a multi-year contract with the British team
Mercedes:
Russell stays with the team, however because of Hamilton’s departure he will obviously have a new teammate. We still don’t know who will join the silver arrows and drive alongside Russell.
Red bull:
their full line up for next season which includes Max Verstappen and the news of the day was that Sergio Perez will stay with them after agreeing to a 2 year contract extension
Visa Cash App RB:
There is currently only one driver confirmed for the 2025 line up and that is car number 22 of Yuki Tsunoda
Haas:
Haas first announced that Rookie Oliver Bearman will race for them for 2025 onwards and Later announced that Esteban Ocon will race with them after leaving Alpine at the end of the season
Alpine:
Again there is only one driver currently confirmed for the 2025 line up and that is Pierre Gasly although there are plenty of rumours that Alpine will confirm Aussie Jack Doohan in the coming weeks
So now we know what teams have what drivers, who are the drivers that find themselves out of a contract at the end of season
Logan Sargeant-Williams
Daniel Ricciardo-Visa Cash App RB
Kevin Magnussen-Haas
Zhou Guanyu- Kick Sauber
Valtteri Bottas- Kick Sauber
We know that Logan Sargeant and Kevin Magnussen can’t re-sign with their teams so their options are the 1 seat and Visa Cash App RB, Alpine, Kick Sauber or Mercedes
So who do the 4 seats that are left go to?
