The future of Ferrari.

Before the new season starts Ferrari decided to add 2 new but familiar faces to the team. First, let's start with Oliver Bearman who is currently in the Scuderia Ferrari Driver Academy and racing in the FIA Formula 2 championship with team Prema has taken on a new role as a reserve driver for Ferrari. This role means that for any reason Charles Leclerc or Carlos Sainz can’t race one of the 3 reserve drivers will take that place and fill in for the driver. The other two reserve drivers are Antonio Giovinazzi and Robert Shwartzman  who are both driving in WEC.

Now onto Arthur Leclerc who recently departed from FIA Formula 2 and also the Scuderia Ferrari Driver Academy has joined Ferrari as a development driver. His role involves mainly simulator work, on car developments and set up work and also any updates that go onto the car this season. Arthur will also race in Italian GT championship in a Scuderia Baldini 27.

All the work starts next week though when the team tackle a 3 day Pirelli test session at the Barcelona-Catalunya circuit. On the 29th Arthur will step into an F1 car for the very first time driving the 2022 F1-75.Also,on the 29th  and the 30th Charles and Carlos are getting back into the SF-23 as the are carrying out tests for Pirelli. In addition to that on the 30th the teammates will be sharing the  SF-23 and the F1-75. Ollie will also be driving the F1-75 on the 31st having the track to himself.
